Featuring over twenty beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, The Fairy Circus is a showcase for turn-of-the-century-style trick puppetry. The puppets will dance, play instruments, juggle, contort, transform, and fly through the air with the greatest of ease, all to the best-loved music of favorite composers. This title is perfect for younger children and family audiences. The presentation includes a lively puppetry demonstration prior to the show, and a Question and Answer session following the performance. Website

Rebecca Zama Rebecca Zama

Caribbean neo-soul artist, Rebecca Zama is a singer, songwriter, pianist, actress and poet. She’s been performing since the age of three for audiences around the United States and Haiti, her country of heritage. Her R&B/Soul background is fused with Zouk, Konpa and Kizomba, her soulful stylings leaving their mark on the Haitian Music Industry. In her career, she’s garnered an impressive amount of musical accolades including a 2016 Boston Music Award nomination for International Artist of the Year, a 2017 nomination for R&B Artist of the Year, a 2017 nomination from the Prestigious Haitian Music Awards for Female Artist of the Year, and a Prestigious Haitian Music Award for Female Breakout Artist of the Year in 2018. Accurately described as a jeune prodige by Le Nouvelliste, Rebecca Zama’s skills span beyond music. She is also a dancer, Haitian Movie Award winning actress and a published poet, writing the anthology entitled Optimum Me inspired by the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010. Her love and passion for Haiti led to Zama co-founding The Haiti Global Youth Partnership, Inc. This 501c3 nonprofit organization provides enrichment programs to the youth and community of the rural village of L’Asile, and Haiti at large. Website

This will be an Open Mic for ALL, adults as well as Plugged-In-Teens.
Plugged-In is based in Needham, MA. Its dual focus is to give young people a venue through which they can channel their creativity, learn to work in a group, and improve their music skills while learning about the value and importance of social activism. In addition to the Plugged In benefit concert series, you╒ll see Plugged In performing at Needham Business Association functions, the Needham Fourth of July Parade, the Pollard Middle School, and many other local events. Ed O.G Ed O.G

Edward Anderson (born 27 November 1970), better known by his stage names Ed O.G and Edo.G, is an American rapper from Boston, Massachusetts. He is most well known for being the leader of the hip hop group Ed O.G & Da Bulldogs, with whom he released two albums with in the early 1990s. Although not widely known in the mainstream, he has a cult following in Boston, and has an international fanbase. He released his first album in 1991 with his group Da Bulldogs, titled Life of a Kid in the Ghetto.[3] The album included the song \"Be a Father to Your Child,\" which received airplay on local Boston radio stations, and \"I Got To Have It\", which was sampled later by Mary J. Blige on the track \"Ooh!\". The group was dropped from Mercury Records in 1993.[4] Ed O.G. has subsequently gone on to release four solo albums and two EPs, toured around the world, and worked with other artists including Pete Rock, DJ Premier, RZA, KRS-One, Common, Black Thought of the Roots, and Masta Ace. On his solo album The Truth Hurts, he combined with DJ Premier and Pete Rock; \"Wishful Thinking\" was a sequel of his first solo performance. The connection with Rock turned into a partnership for the album My Own Worst Enemy. Come see Needham’s classical ballet school, Charles River Ballet Academy, perform classical dances from Sleeping Beauty, Graduation Ball, and Giselle, as well as original choreography to the music of Pachelbel, the Annie soundtrack, and Paul Simon. Forty-five local students of CRBA age 8-18 will perform in our 11th annual New Years Needham show. Tom Pugh - Far and Wide Tom Pugh - Far and Wide

A collection of folk and rock favorites from the 60s to today. Tom is a Needham native with deep roots in the UU and also the co-founder of the Plugged In Band program. Included is a tribute to local songwriter Bob Fitzgerald. Tom has performed with numerous bands, including Frankie Lee,the Doowopp Hall of Fame Rock and Roll All Stars, Southern Revelation, SloBurn and Lois Lane and the Daily Planets. He has played at Boston’s Symphony Hall and the Montreal Jazz Festival as well as many other prestigious venues. Website


The Lance Martin Band The Lance Martin Band

This is a flute led jazz/funk band out of Boston metro. The Lance Martin Band has been together in Boston since 1982. Always with an awesome personnel, this band has performed with the intent to whip an audience into a frenzy. The combination of jazz, funk & gospel is called Physical Jazz, which is the title of lance\'s latest CD. The music and the flute performances will hopefully dispel any preconceived notion on how a jazz flute should sound. The repertoire is not heavy jazz, but consists of standards, and some recognizable R&B or pop tunes played in the style of Physical Jazz; visually aggressive and musically entertaining. In one set, you may hear music by: Miles, Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin, and B2K. Jazz, funk & gospel are at a crossroad when you listen to or experience this band, and it is all led by flute.
